  • PartsTrader is a procurement tool for the New Zealand Automotive industry.

    Businesses which join must be located in New Zealand, be involved in the Automotive trade and pass basic quality vetting.

  • PartsTrader charges a success fee of 3.5% when a supplier wins a quote tender. Suppliers are charged a subscription fee which is tiered based on sales and ranges from $24 to $750 per month.

    Some users pay for data access as well.

  • When using PartsTrader as a repairer, you will generate a rating over time. This rating is used by suppliers to decide if they want to work with you. To get the full value from PartsTrader it is best to use it frequently. We will not create an account for a single use.

  • Use the ‘Forgot Password’ button on the log in page, you will need to enter your username and click the ‘Send Instructions’ button which will email you a temporary password.

  • Email support@partstrader.co.nz from the business email used on your PartsTrader account. Explain the situation and provide as much info as possible. Do not send us your password.

  • Suppliers must pay a one off application fee of $1000 +GST.

    You will be charged 3.5% of total sale value on winning a quote and there is a tiered subscription fee. The subscription fee table.

  • PartsTrader is free for repairers.

    If you are a panel shop, suppliers will pass on the success fee which you can on-charge to your insurer or end customer.

    If you are a mechanical shop, the supplier will include the fee in your quote as part of the purchase price.

  • PartsTrader is a private company with a range of owners, this includes large businesses, investor groups and many PartsTrader employees.
